After an intense run on the track (ummm where some of us did more walking than running, eh hemm!!), conditioning for The Bier Markt Ohio City Run 'n Crawl 5K we are participating in mid-June, we are are currently enjoying this breathtakingly beautiful evening on our patio, listening to some great tunes and sipping on some fine wine. . . Our weapons of choice this evening are: a lovely Jacob's Creek Rosé and La Playa Chardonnay (disclaimer: we usually are not fans of Chardonnay yet feel strongly that this is an exception to the rule).

2. Party Too? @ Touch Supper Club tonight @ 10pm come out and see three rooms of the best DJs spinning House, Electro, Rap, and whatevs. Our boy Good Life Mike goes on 1st. We missed the last one because we were out of town but we won't be missing this one because it is sure to be a PARTY!
While watching the Cavs game, we are currently enjoying a lovely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec provided by Argentina's Staccato with artisan cheese and crackers. After the game we are going to attempt to finally watch Pan's Labyrinth (so generously burned for us by a friend) and are definitely looking forward to Human Giant's premiere at 10:30pm EST on MTV.
This evening, we have the pleasure of seeing Neko Case playing amidst a sold out crowd at The Beachland Ballroom. If somehow you are not yet a fan of her sultry and soulful songs, definitely check out the following favorites of ours:

Last night while driving around town, one of our favorite songs of all time came up on shuffle: "Just Like Honey" by The Jesus and Mary Chain. This brought another favorite song to mind of a similar title by Ms. Fiona Apple: "Slow Like Honey". . .thus the inspiration for this post -- not to mention, our love of honey in general :)
On this Sunday afternoon, we felt inspired to post songs that we like that have "Sunday" in the title. This is because upon a previous discusssion, we realized that Saturday gets a lot more love than Sunday [see previous post], so we are just trying to throw some love towards this underappreciated day.
Tonight we are still down here in FLA but if were in C-town we would most def be going to the aforementioned throwndown @ Touch Super Club. Our boy Good Life Mike will be on decks along with several of the best DJ's in Cleveland spinning electro, dance punk, french house, whatevs. Come get your freak on starting @ 10pm holler.
Brief update: Down here today in sunny Naples (FL) it was 84 degrees warmer than it was in Cleveland.
So today wasn't really that bad of a day, it was actually kind of alright. Although, it doesn't exactly help to start the week off to a frigid -5 degrees!
This week, while doing our typical perusing of what bands are on tour, we saw that Sparrowhouse (aka Jared from voxtrot) is touring and of course isn't coming to c-town. As usual, we were like "what the f*ck, why doesn't anyone want to come to c-town?" (ie - tours that aren't coming here: The Walkmen, Bloc Party, Explosions in the Sky, etc)
This Saturday evening, we find ourselves staying indoors (and not going downtown to see the Luna Negra Ballet, which we had tickets for) from this abrasive and unforgiving weather. Hybernating is fine by us because we are highly entertained by an old favorite of ours: The Rules of Attraction. Speaking of which, does anybody happen to have that Robin Thicke song ("I want to get you alone") used in the naked party scene??
This evening we are fortunate enough to be amongst the crowd of people in the area who will be attending the SOLD OUT performance of the one and only Mr. Gregg Gillis aka Girl Talk, throwing it down at The Grog Shop.
If you want a good laugh this evening, be sure to tune into Comedy Central at 10:30pm (EST) and watch Sarah Silverman's new show premiere. Ever since watching her hilarious movie, Jesus Is Magic, we just can't seem to get enough of Sarah [see past post].
Tonight @ The Grog Shop, Asobi Seksu makes their first ever appearance in Cleveland. We have been fans of this band for over 3 years now and have been waiting earnestly for them to come to c-town (even going so far as to beg them on myspace). If you are familiar with our blog, you may even recall last spring we drove to Detroit to go see them, but to no avail because their van broke down and were unable to make the show. What also makes this show special is that our good friends BEARS are opening, so this is going to be twice as nice (with local band, JJ Magazine also on the bill). The show starts at 9:30pm. Be there.
The other day, Jose got me some new earbud pads that are all fun and colorful and stuff. . .
While drinking a glass of Coppola's smooth Chardonnay and watching some good old Jeopardy, we are attempting to cook ourselves a dinner (admittedly, Heinen's prepared Rosemary Chicken Breasts stuffed with Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato). Also worth noting, we tested out for the very first time our new Waring Pro Wine Chiller -- compliments of Erin and Todd. And, we must say that it is absolutely fabulous!
This picture above gives you a good idea how much fun Bears were last night. Also as a result of having so much fun, we are taking it very easy on this Sunday and on the road to recovery from our revelry.
