Lonesome Microphone

Not to be confused with Field Music, the solo project of Chad Hanson (formerly of Dutch Flat and The Mines) he calls Field Notes is something not to be overlooked. A Brooklyn based musician (by way of Seattle) recorded most of his debut, The Color of Sunshine, in the bedroom of his flat inspiring many to describe this album as an insightful and intimate "portrait of hushing melodies." Needless to say, Field Notes has earned several comparisons: Pedro the Lion, Nada Surf, Matt Pond PA and (of course) Elliott Smith.
