A Different Kind Of Ménage à Trois

You can guiltlessly enjoy a great ménage à trois at Heinen's, in fact you can have several. . .

We tried all three Ménage à Trois wines (normally $12.99, now only $9.99) today, all of which are blends of three different varietals: the White (Chardonnay, Muscat, and Chenin Blanc), Rosé (Merlot, Syrah, Gewürztraminer), and Red (Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet).

From all the sparkling wine and champagne we have consumed, we instantly recognized the Muscato in the White wine. It's dry, but at the same time slightly sweet -- José says it is a "great chick wine."

As for the Rosé, it has a unique bouquet and finish due to it containing Gewürztraminer. A blend of three wines that we have never tasted together. Although interesting, not necessarilly a fave.

The Red has an earthy and balanced flavor. The finish is very clean, containing little to no tannins. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was a Pinot Noir.

We both agreed that the Red was our favorite, but given the heat we chose the White*
