Random Retro Wednesday Song: From Your Mouth

With the cold descending upon us, this past weekend was filled with a lot of Wii playing, particularly Mario Cart, wine drinking and movie watching.

One of the movies we ended up watching was Gossip, a deliciously bad movie from the year 2000. If you have never seen (or even heard of) this film, it is about how gossip travels and can impact people's live based on the perceived truth. Gossip is chock full of stars indicative from that time: James Marsden, Norman Redus (from Boondock Saints), Kate Hudson, Joshua Jackson, Marisa Coughlan (from Teaching Mrs. Tingle) and a cameo made by Poe. In the film, the main group of characters go to this bar that is a very dark industrial kind of club, it has a total 90's feel to it. At the bar, not only is Poe performing, but in the background they are playing From Your Mouth by God Lives Under Water. We are sure you all remember this video (which seemed to always be played on late night Mtv's Amp) with a Japanese hot dog eating champion who's got nothing on Kobayashi.

I totally remember that Gossip movie! Although, it has probably been since 2000 since I have seen it! LOL

Another great Wednesday selection. :-)

If you have a Random Retro Wednesday song that comes from "Sugar and Spice" or "Ally McBeal", I'm going to start suspecting an unhealthy obsession with Mr. Marsden.

No idea where I was hiding during the time when that the "From Your Mouth" video came out as I have never seen it, but I know I still, to this day, love that GLU CD...

haven't ever seen the GLU video you mention, but No More Love is one of my favorite tunes from the 90s

Mel- Thanks for your kind words. We appreciate your support.

Blogging Jason - You are the one who mentioned that he was in Sugar & Spice (never seen it) & on top of that he was in Ally McBeal if anyone is obsessed with him it is you my friend.

Brian - I agree that is a great album.

Matt - No more love is a classic. Did either of you attend that infamous GLU w/ Filter show back in C-town in the 90's, If memory serves me correct it was was new year's show.

Haha, just read the above response and think that Jason just might have struck a chord with Jose ;) Although, there is no shame for sharing a love for Mr. Marsden, right?

I think I know everyone that went to that New Year's Eve Filter show at the Agora, but as for me, I wasn't there.

I've heard so much about it from the people that were there, it feels like I was there!

Filter at the Hard Rock on Saturday night, btw.
