What is a Schmap?

A Schmap is a travel program that is like "Google Earth meets Frommer's meets Mapquest". It is very cool interactive guide, that allows you do things like : play a virtual location of hot spots within a city, plan a custom guide and print it out as well thus allowing you to explore a city in ways that were not possible via maps before . It requires a download that is free and easy to set up. I plan on using this to help us plan our upcoming trip to Dublin, Ireland in September. Schmap has maps for over 70 cities throughout The United States and Europe. Here is a great article about the program from The Washington Post (thanks mom for sharing this with me).
