This evening we are recovering from a crazy busy (and very fun) holiday weekend. We're kind of brain dead, but we feel it is incredibly important to note that after both the Cavs' and Tribe's victories: DETROIT SUCKS :)
For now enjoy the music. . .
5. [Mp3] Pavement - Spit on a Stranger Several times throughout the weekend this band seemed to find its way to slip into conversation and consciousness, especially with the help of Kelly's current read: Love is a Mixtape by Rob Sheffield
4. [Mp3] Lily Allen - Naive A fabulous cover of an undeniably catchy song by fellow Brit band, The Kooks, beautifully interpretted
3. [Mp3] The Bird and the Bee - Fucking Boyfriend An upbeat, fun song that has Kelly bopping and nodding her head *ha*
2. [Mp3] The Lodger - Kicking Sand This three-peice UK band is generating quite the buzz and with good reason with this jangley pop charm of a song
1. [Mp3] Spoon - You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb A fast favorite from their soon to be released ablum, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

Top 5 Songs of The Week ( So happy :) )
Right now we are so freaking happpy, we are watching hour 23 of the Human Giant 24 hour marathon as drink our coffee and eat some amazing coffee house crunch ice cream cake from Cold Stone. It is a sunny saturday here in C-town and The Cavs F*CKING Won, Bring On Deee-TROIT! , The Indians are back in 1st (that's right Tigers we are not going to go away) and NO WORK TODAY. This afternoon we are going to go see Year of The Dog, we will be sure to let you know how it is and that's all for now. Enjoy the tunes and the sun :)
5. (mp3) Dawn Landes -Young Folks ( Peter, Bjorn & John cover) first it was endless remixes of this song and now it is time for the covers. This is the first one we have heard it and it's worth giving a listen.
4. (mp3) Machine Go Boom - All The Way to Pa This band hails from C-town and so therefore they DO NOT SUCK. The play infectious pop driven fuzz kinda like the dead milkmen meets the pixies.
3. (mp3) Battles - Atlas yes we are jumping on the bandwagon. At first we were were resitstant and like what the f*ck?, This is math rock? After recently spending some time with their new album "Mirrored" it is really starting to grow on us. (it is good music to listen to while spying on your neighbors)
2. (mp3) Promiscuous With You - Party Ben (mash up Nelly Furtado vs Michael Jackson) this mash makes us smile. Kelly's fave summer record 06 is Ms. Furtado's latest we have yet to find the soundtrack to summer 07? Perhaps Justice because Kelly thinks I am in love with it...
1.(mp3) JUSTICE - D.A.N.C.E. the full length recently leaked if you look around you will find it. If you have not head this song by now, you should because it is the jam & check out the kick ass video ass well.

It's Time To Rise Up!
Right now I am sitting here watching Human Giant's 24 hour marathon. I think you should do the same. Human Giant is the 3rd new T.V. show this year I have become a fan of along with The Riches and The Sarah Silverman Program. While we were are on the topic of Sarah Silverman, Kelly and I are super stoaked that she is hosting the MTV movie awards this year -- usually we don't give two sh*ts about that show, but since she is the host it should prove worth our time.
On to even more positive things. . .
1. Morrissey F*CKING owned last night. It was a great show so if he comes to your town you should definitely go!
2. Today's is Kelly's sister Erin's birthay. Happy Birthday, Erin!.
3. The CAVS ARE GOING TO WIN TONIGHT! and eliminate the Nets from the playoffs. Go Cavs!
4. Today marks the first of many Mojito Friday's @ Bier Markt. If we didn't have plans we would be heading over to their patio to have one ourselves.
5. The Indians are going to beat the Reds tonight and shed first blood in the 2007 battle of O-H-I-O.
6. We don't have to have to work tomorow. Hooray for Sleeping in!
